Hey Kids, Don't!

Don't build your own scripting language.

First there's the Web frameworks. And now this.

This build your own scripting language thing must be stopped, right now!

We have more than 200 of them already.

Write some decent applications, would you?

Applications! Applications!! Applications!!!

You know, something that one can click on and get some work done or have some fun.

Let this do the adults

It is sufficient to stop pumping out yet another all-purpose (scripting) language. Nobody needs Y that is just X with feature a,b,c minus d,e,f. Small (or even larger) proprietary languages are useful for providing a layer for programming high-level behavior in a specific domain. Unless the problem is really special using something established with a well known syntax, etc. should be preferred

Re: Hey Kids, Don't!

This is interesting, as is allows easily to create "Domain-scpecific languages" in applications. Kids, read that again: create "Domain-scpecific languages" in applications.
